Architecture

Paris is home to many famous attractions and beautiful architecture including the world famous Eiffel Tower. Originally built for the World Fair in 1889 as a temporary structure to commemorate the centennial of the evolution, the Eiffel Tower was the worlds tallest structure until Manhattans Chrysler Building was completed. Guests can walk to the 1st or 2nd platform and admire the views, then take the elevator to the top for panoramic views overlooking the city. Visit the Notre Dame de Paris which is not only a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture, but has also been Catholic Paris ceremonial focus for seven centuries. For top quality shoes, bags and leather goods visit the province of Rue du Cherche-Midi and Rue de Grenelle in the 6th arrondissements. Designer labels including Cartier, Chanel and Christian Dior can be found in the 8th arrondissements. For more affordable shopping with names like Zara, HandM and the Gap, the Champs-Elysee is perfect for the more-budget minded traveller. Paris has three main flea markets situated around the old gates of the city where you are bound to find many bargains as well as unique or unusual treasures.

Food and Drink

Paris could be described as the home of gourmet cuisine and with a huge choice of restaurants and cafes offering delicious mouth-watering food served to perfection, dining in Paris is a unique experience.
